Humans Can’t Get Bird Flu from Humans: But that Could Change Soon

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=George_McKenzie] George McKenzie Bird flu, or avian flu, is an influenza virusstrain that typically infects birds - including wild birdslike ducks and domestic birds like chickens. There are many forms of bird flu, and most are relativelyharmless, producing mild symptoms or even no symptoms. However, several strains of bird flu produce a highlycontagious disease that kills quickly and could lead to amassive bird flu epidemic. These dangerous viruses are knownas “highly pathogenic avian influenza.” One such bird flu virus is currently spreading amongchickens in Asian countries. In recent years it wasdiscovered that the bird flu virus can infect people whohave close contact with live birds. The current strain cannot be passed from human to human, butheath officials say it may mutate and become contagious inour species. If that happens, according to David Nabarro ofthe U.N. and World Health Organization, “an epidemic couldkill between 5 and 150 million people,” which would be amuch larger disaster than 2004’s Asian Tsunami and 2005’sU.S. hurricanes combined. Symptoms of bird flu (avian flu) in humans include: Conjunctivitis Cough Fever Muscle aches Sore throat (Severe cases) Breathing problem and pneumonia How dangerous is bird flu? Bird flu can be fatal. There have been a number of small outbreaks of bird flusince 1997, and people who get it appear to have a highmortality rate. *1997 Hong Kong - 18 people were infected and 6 peopledied. *There were two cases and one death in Hong Kong in 2003. *As many as 10 deaths have been linked to an outbreak in anumber of Asian countries last year. How can bird flu be treated? Anyone with bird flu symptoms should see a health careprofessional immediately. The bird flu virus currentlyinfecting birds in Asia that has caused human illness anddeath appears to be resistant to Tamiflu, according toofficials at Queen Mary Hospital in Australia. Tamiflu isthe most common drug used to treat flu in humans. There currently is no vaccine to protect humans against thestrain of bird flu virus that’s been detected in Asia. However, research studies to test a bird flu vaccine toprotect humans began in April 2005. How to Pick the Right Cell Phone forYou

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jon_Wilder]Jon Wilder In the world today, if you don’t have a cell phone you’re out of touch. How do you pick the right phone, the right plan or the right company? There are many factors to that should be taken into consideration. If you have a large family, one of the many family plans could be the ticket. Some family plans share a pool of minutes. This can be a good or bad thing depending on how good your family is at sharing. If you have teenagers who tend to talk quite a bit on the cell phones (and most do these days), this may not be the best way to go although buying a separate plan for each teen could be very expensive. One idea is the “pay-as-you go” plan. These plans use minutes from a pre-paid bank of a set duration. At least this way you have control over how much you spend each month. Another type of family plan lets family memberspay for their own calling, but if family members sign up, everybody gets a better price then if they had signed up individually. Some plans also give you a break on the price of the cell phones themselves. Be sure to check out these types of plans carefully. If you are just shopping for yourself; carefully evaluate what you think your cell phones usage will be. If it’s just for emergencies or occasional use the afore mentioned pay-as-you go plans may be sufficient. You could also buy the cheapest plan available. Some are as low as $20 a month. Most people however, use their cellphones a lot and need many minutes. If this is the case, pay-as-you-go plans can get very expensive and it makes more sense to buy a plan that gives you several hundred minutes worth of time each month. Another thing to consider is the options. Does the plan come with roaming, long-distance, text-messaging, etc. included? Are these extras important to you? If they are then be sure to total up the costs of each plan. Some include extras in the plan cost, some don’t. Don’t sign up for a plan only to find out that you have to pay additional costs for the features you want that another plan included free or for the same price. Lastly, do the cell phones available for the plan come with the features you want or need. Cameras, games, two-way radio functions are just some of the many new functions being added to today’s phones. 5 Signs for Detecting a Liar

Monday, January 28th, 2008

By Tristan Loo Being a human lie detector is not a difficult thing. You simply need to understand the tale-tell signs and tactics that are inherent of every liar. Here are five basic signs that are common to most liars: They Relax & Become Happier When You Change The Subject A topic in which the person is deceptive on will cause them to be tense and have anxiety. If you think that they are being deceptive, then you should switch topics on them to something different and watch how they react to the change. If they suddenly appear to be more happy and relaxed, then this can be a sign that they were trying to be deceptive before you switched topics on them. They Stall for More Time Someone who is sure of themselves or honest will usually have an honest answer for an honest question and it will come to them with little thinking involved. Not true with the liar. When a liar is caught off guard, they require time to formulate a response that sounds legitimate. Therefore, they might employ a stall tactic to buy more time. One commonly used way a liar buys more time is by employing rhetorical questions such as: Can you repeat the question? What do you think? Could you be more specific? They repeat the same question back to you Recognize these kinds of questions as delay tactics, used to buy more time to create a believable lie. They Use Absolutes Absolutes should be a red flag to you when a person is trying to be deceptive because absolutes are most often lies in and of themselves. Absolutes are words like, always, never, everytime, everyone. Listen carefully for absolutes because they are used in two main functions: when the person is trying to persuade you to do something, or when they are getting defensive about something they did. Its a known fact of life that there are no absolutes. Even the cleanest person has gotten their hands dirty at one point. No one is perfect and we learn from our mistakesthat is why absolutes are often associated with deceptive behaviorbecause they are untrue to begin with. They Dont Defend Their Honor When a person is faced with a false accusation, the normal tendency is to become outraged and react aggressively towards that accusation because its an attack on their reputation and their honorboth of which an individual has a psychological need to defend. How dare you say that to me, would be a typical honest response to a false accusation. The liar, however, will not protest the accusation, but rather be focusing more on what to tell you in an effort not to sound as guilty. They might use stall tactics such as blurting out a NO. and then pausing to follow it up with some type of rational explanation. They use Just Kidding While most of us use the phrase, Just Kidding, as a common part of our conversation to playfully jest at another person, there is a psychological aspect to this phrase. Just kidding is a minimizer phrase, meaning that it downplays the harshness of what was said before it. Even if we are innocently joking, there is at least some partial truth in what we just said, otherwise we wouldnt have said it in the first place. We then slap on the minimizing phrase, Just Kidding, as a way to show the other person that it was all in good fun. It might be all in good fun, but remember that when someone says this phrase, they probably believe itat least a little. Summertime Craft Ideas

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

By Judi Cox Spring and summer come and everyone starts opening their doors and windows, bringing in the fresh air. Tree leaves are full and flower blooms abound; birds are singing, building nests and taking care of their chicks. I am drawn outdoors by the lure of warmer days and the call of the dirt and new sprouts. Not to mention, as a mom, the kids are clamoring for more room to play. Its a perfect time to pull out some fun out door family crafts. Here are a few, easy to personalize, summertime craft ideas for summer fun or to celebrate May Day, Mothers Day or a holiday weekend. All craft supplies are easily attainable from craft supply stores or online suppliers. While making these crafts is a fun family activity, some are available in pre-assembled kits, or already made. Use your favorite search engine for more information on various ideas keyword suggestions are offered below craft each idea. 1. Terra cotta clay pot bird bath. How Not to Cheat

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Sonya Triggs Excuses, excuses, excuses. I cheated because my husband doesn’t understand me. I cheat because we’ve grown apart. I cheat because I’m not in love with my wife anymore. I cheat because my husband doesn’t pay attention to me. I cheat because my wife won’t give me what I want in bed. I cheat because - well, because I want to, darnit! We have all heard, said and read about reasons to cheat. We all know why it’s okay, why it’s justifiable and why we can get away with it. Cheating has, in fact, almost become acceptable. After all, how can you possibly expect to stay faithful to one man or one woman for 10, 20 or even 30 years. Impossible! Right? Impossible, no. Difficult, yes. So, following is my short and sweet list of How Not to Cheat: 1. Don’t find yourself in a private setting with a member of the opposite sex. As I always say - it’s really, really hard to cheat when you’re at home, alone, by yourself! Don’t give yourself any more reasons to give into temptation. 2. Don’t build emotional relationships with too many members of the opposite sex. Friends, shmiends, most friend-ships (for men) are just a holding pattern until you are willing and ready to take it further. And we women are no better - we often just like to have a man as a backup plan, in case our current relationship doesn’t work out. Guard your heart and your time - and hang out with more of your same sex friends. 3. Don’t confide all your secrets in a member of the opposite sex. Yeah, I know, it’s much easier to share sometimes with someone that has a different set of chromosomes, but this is definitely heading in the direction of building emotional relationships (and you know where that usually leads). Especially don’t share everything that your significant other does that bothers you. Some unscrupulous friends can and will use this against you at a later date. Get a best friend who is the same sex as you. Trust me - it’s much easier in the end. 4. Don’t spend time fantasizing about ‘what if’. Yes, I know most people don’t really consider it cheating unless something physically happens, but, here’s a news flash - thinking about doing something is just one step away from actually doing something. Don’t think so? Fantasize about ice cream for the next half hour, and see if you don’t head to your nearest Ben & Jerry’s! 5. Stop seeking external validation. Make sure you already think that you are okay. Or that you are great. Or whatever it is you need to make it through the day. Because the sooner you believe it yourself, the sooner you will no longer need someone else to make you feel that way. 6. Stay Busy! Do I even need to get into this one? Suffice it to say the less free time you have, the less time you have to get yourself into ‘trouble’. 7. Think about your mate. Hey, here’s something that’s probably fallen by the wayside. Remember when you thought your mate was absolutely perfect and could do no wrong? Okay, so you know that ain’t true, but I bet he or she still does some things very, very right. Think about those things. Replay them in your mind. Repeat. 8. Spend time building your relationship with your mate. Spend time planning things you would like to do. Spend time cooking for him or her, sending him or her emails, spending quality time or taking long walks in the park. Whatever it takes to build upon what you already have. ‘Cause building a new one will take just as much work as you are putting into the relationship you have now. It’s easier (and cheaper) in the end to just love the one you’ve got. 9. Follow your own passion. Quit trying to live your life through someone else! And quit thinking if you’ve bedded three or four people other than your significant other, that this makes you some type of player! You are not. You just lack self-control. Find what you do best - and do it. Enough said. 10. Commit to Yourself first! Forget about trying to commit to another person through thick and thin. ‘Cause his ‘thin’ will be too thin and her ‘thick’ will turn you off. Commit instead to your own personal desire to be faithful, loving and attentive to the one you’ve got. People change. Feelings change. But, knowing (and sticking to) who you are on the inside never goes out of style. Then, when you have the desire to cheat, you will realize it’s much more important to be true to yourself than indulging in a temporary fix. So, go forth and be faithful! Sonya C. The Law of Sowing and Reaping Pt.1

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Mark E. Baker Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. The Living Bible says it like thisGalatians 6:7 Don’t be misled; remember that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows! Through out God’s Word there is much said about sowing and reaping. This is a spiritual law that can’t be negated. The Living Bible says it so simply, a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows. The analogy here of spiritual sowing is being compared to sowing seed for a crop. This is not so hard for farmers or gardeners to understand. In the natural you know that if you sow corn you are not going to get pumpkins. Why is this so hard for us to equate in the spiritual realm? We are going to look at this law and learn what God’s Word has to say about it and begin to apply these truths to our lives. One of the first things we should look at is what exactly is sowing in the spiritual realm. In the natural realm it is easy, you take some type of seed and you dig a hole in the ground and place the seed in the hold at a predetermined depth. You also have to water it and so on, however the seed itself does the work. Because there is life already in the seed, the seed germinates and grows into the type of plant that produced the seed in the first place doesnt it? We see this law being put into place by God in the very first chapter of Genesis, let’s take a look. Genesis 1:11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. We can see that God designed all the many plants to produce after their own kind, and He declared that the seed would be in itself. In other words the plant would produce the seed that would in turn produce another plant and so on forever. My point being the seed has a specific purpose, that being to reproduce according to the life that God placed in it.That is a very incredible thing to consider. God has given us seed to sow, yet most of us don’t understand this principle and use the seed for our own pleasures. We consume the seed instead of planting it. We may plant a certain amount of seed. We sow a little here and a little there. However we are not sowing the seed for the purpose of harvesting. I am not pointing my finger at anyone to criticize them, only pointing out an observation. I am learning just like we all are. The purpose of planting seed is to reproduce the parent plant. Farmers practice this on a large scale and gardeners do it on a smaller scale. You harvest what you have planted. You sow for the specific purpose of harvesting. You dont sow because you have nothing better to do. When harvest time comes and it will, you reap the harvest. If you didn’t want a harvest you wouldn’t have sown in the first place, would you? I have said all of this to make the point that if we want a spiritual harvest we have to sow. There are also other consideration we should look at as well. There is a time to sow. You would not sow certain types of seed in the middle of the winter, as they are summer crops, and you would not plant winter crops in the heat of the summer. The temperature of the soil is vital to the germination and growth of the seed into a mature plant. God has a time for spiritual sowing as well. I have found He will lead you at certain times to sow into very specific ministries. He wants you to sow your seed at a very specific time. The spiritual temperature will be just right for that seed to germinate and grow into a mature plant. The mature plant is the plant that produces the harvest. An immature plant might start to produce but then not yield a crop because it is not capable or mature enough to do so. If you plant your seed at the wrong time, you can not expect the seed to germinate properly, and grow, and mature, and produce a crop. This after all is the whole purpose of sowing the seed in the first place, is it not? We sow seed for the purpose of reaping. We have to follow God’s leading and do what God wants us to do in God’s timing. Knowing when to plant is just as important as knowing what and where to plant. It is crucial to reaping the full harvest. In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon the wisest man on the Earth in his day saidEcclesiastes 3:1. To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: 2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; He goes on to say much more as well if you want to take the time to go back and read it for yourself. He is talking about the timing of God in all things that God has put in our hand to do. God’s tells us in His Word that we have been predestined to good works. God planned way in advance that we should fulfill His purpose. We have to look to God’s leading and work in God’s timing if we are going to fulfill His perfect will here on the Earth. I like the way the New American Standard Version says this. — New American Standard Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. He already knows what we are supposed to do and when we are supposed to do it. It is our obligation to get before Him and get instruction in these matters. He promises by His Word that the Holy Spirit will lead us and guide us into all truth. He will guide us into the perfect will of God if we will humble ourselves before Him and get His instructions. Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” God has ordained a time to sow. He is not going to do the work of sowing for us. We are the ones who are ordained to go out and do this. He loves us so much that He has given us the seed in order that we can sow and receive the fruit of righteousness. He wants us to be blessed, and to be a blessing to others as well. We can not reap a harvest if we have not sown. We can not be a blessing to others if we don’t reap a harvest, or if we take the seed God has supplied to us for sowing and use it on our own wants. God has promised us the seed to sow, and it is our responsibility to do the sowing at the proper time and let the seed do its job so that we in due course may reap the harvest. 2 Corinthians 9:10-13 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, God has ordained this method for the purpose of blessing His children.Another thing to consider is the quantity of seed that you sow. We know that if God supplies the seed, then the seed itself is good, so we must sow what he has given us. The more we sow the more we harvest. The less we sow the less we harvest. 2Cor:9:6: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Begin to take the seed God has provided and sow it. If you truly want a harvest in your life, then start sowing. This is the way God’s spiritual laws works. He wants us to be abundantly blessed. Not just a little but more than we can handle. That is just the way God is. So when you sow, get ready to harvest. Then you will have more seed to sow and plenty for your own needs and help supply to the needs of others as well. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Take this Word to heart and meditate on these truths, and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you concerning His law of sowing and reaping.Remember what the Apostle Paul said in the book of Galatians Gal:6:9: And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Keep doing what God’s Word says to do and know the harvest is coming. We have God’s Word to stand on. It will never fail to produce what it was sent to do. Just as the seed bearing plants will produce after their kind, the seed God gives us to sow will produce after its own kind. Glory to God. Amen. Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you want to be a joint heir with Christ? If so, I urge you to earnestly pray the following prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. (Jn.6:37), So I know You wont cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Ro. 10:13). I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (Ro.10:9,10). I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, with the heart one believes to righteousness and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21), And I am saved! Thank You, Lord!I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God!Glory to God!!!! Amen. I was raised Catholic, and was born again at the age of 17. I received God’s call into ministry at the age of 19 and began to prepare for ministry. I graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1979. The Lord has called me to teach. By Al Falaq Arsendatama Cellulite is hardened fat cells that have been trapped in the bodys network of muscle tissue and fiber. This tissue and fiber is constantly flushed by cleansing fluids through the day and the result is a very ugly bloated look. Diet to fight cellulite should include extra intake in fruit, vegetables, wholegrain, and beans. Reduce your consumption of coffee, tea, sugar, salt, and alcohol. Also avoid as much as possible taking processed and refined food that contain excess fat, sugar, or salt such as chips, chocolate, etc. Fast Is Not Easy Fast is Not Permanent There are many gyms, weight loss experts and therapists who claim to have the wonder diet to get rid of cellulite in the body. No matter what they claim, one must remember that cellulite cannot go away overnight. It seems that it has come to stay. It can be gotten rid of completely and permanently too with the right diet to fight cellulite coupled by the right amount of exercise in the right quantity. Such a routine will, over a period of time, definitely reduce the cellulite deposits by metabolizing the fat stores for energy. The cellulite volumes will be considerably reduced if not completely eliminated. Diet Is the Best Way Your diet should consist of a lot of fiber and whole grain foods. This provides the system with plenty of roughage needed for the system to clean itself. In addition to this fresh fruits and vegetables do not allow the formation of fat tissue. Consumption of alcohol in any form causes the cellulite deposits in the body to increase dramatically. It is the case with stress as well. . Many people take to eating when they are stressed out. Some meditation in such cases has proven to be a great help to reduce food intake for those wanting to reduce weight. With all said and done, following a good fat free diet and drinking plenty of fluids in addition to walking briskly for at least thirty minutes every day will bring the results you are looking for. It is equally important to stick to this routine if you do not want the cellulite deposits to return. Plan your diet to reduce cellulite effective. Read more information on cellulite diet here. By Kat Lively Whatever you do, don’t confuse it for a popular Internet search engine. Now, you may use said search engine to find information on guggul, but more than likely you will find many websites trying to sell you diet products containing the popular extract. It only makes sense, of course, to tout the important ingredients in the products you sell, but when you research what goes into your body to help you burn fat and stay fit, it is important to pay attention to research, not so much hype. What is Guggul? In its extracted form, guggul is a type of resin or oil that comes largely from the Commiphora mukul tree. This tree is a thorny, shrub-like plant indigenous to India, where the very versatile tree gum is harvested for a variety of medicinal uses. The tree that yields guggul extract is a close relative to the myrrh, also known in the East for its healing properties. Taken internally, guggul is used as a holistic treatment for lowering cholesterol levels. This is because guggul is rich in compounds called guggulsterones, from the ketone group of steroids, which have been known to be effective in this respect. Guggulsterones are also believed to lower triglyceride levels in people as well as affect how the thyroid works. How does Guggul aid in weight loss? Have you ever met somebody with a weight problem who claimed to have an underactive thyroid? More than likely it is not just an excuse, as some weight problems can be attributed to having an abnormal thyroid. The thyroid is the gland located beneath the larynx (voice box). This gland secretes the hormones that regulate metabolism and growth. An abnormal thyroid which produces less of this hormone may cause a person to suffer from low metabolism. This condition is known as hypothyroidism, and in turn, may be responsible for weight gain. Medications are available to regulate the thyroid and combat a sluggish metabolism. In various diet supplements, the extract of guggul is used as a stimulant to the thyroid, allowing it to increase this hormone production and speed up the metabolism. The idea is that more energy is expended, more calories are burned, and hopefully weight is lost. Use of the guggul extract, however, is not without its side effects. People who use diet supplements containing guggul may experience normal weight loss, while other might endure diarrhea, nausea, and/or indigestion. It is always a good idea to consult a physician before taking any kind of weight loss supplement, especially if you are not certain how the ingredients will affect you. Can guggul help you lose weight? It is possible guggul’s effect on the thyroid might be positive in terms of increasing metabolism. However, the body may also experience negative reactions with intake. Always approach such holistic treatments with caution, that you may lose weight smartly and safely. Benefits Of Mobile Marketing

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By Sandy Baker Mobile marketing is an excellent way for you to connect to your intended audience in an effective manner every time. There are several benefits to using this time of marketing and you may not realize the potential it creates for your business. Finding that all important target moment when it will strike the individual just right is the difference between effective advertising and a waste of your advertising dollar. Here are some things to consider about mobile marketing. One of the many benefits that mobile marketing works well for is the simple fact that it is personal in nature. Consider the fact that instead of advertising on a huge billboard and hoping that those that drive by will see it, you are giving personal attention to the individual. Instead of hoping that the channels dont get changed when your commercial comes on, send it right to the individual and know that when they glance at their phone, they already have your message. This personal touch is quite powerful. Another option is the immediacy of mobile marketing. You dont have to wait for them to act as many times they have the ability to click through the message to obtain information about your product or service right then. One of the hardest tasks in marketing is getting the message out and then making it stick. This method works well as the action can be taken immediately. That gets you immediate results for your advertising. With hundreds of products coming online each day, it is hard to make one product or one service stand out against the rest. With mobile marketing, the audience you are targeting gets your message about who you are, what your business is and about what products are available immediately and they can then act on it. Mobile marketing is fast becoming the most successful type of marketing. Look for it to continue to grow as the world becomes even more mobile advanced. Reiki Symbol

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By Jennifer Bailey Reiki symbols are sacred healing symbols that open the doors of healing for its practitioners. These symbols provide a path for the flow of energy and lead one to higher levels of awareness and manifestations. Each symbol holds some form of meta-physical energy. In written scriptures, these symbols are considered to be Sanskrit derived Japanese forms. Reiki has four symbols, which are: Cho ku Rei, Sei He Ki,Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen and Dai ko Myo. Cho ku Rei is the symbol of power. Though Reiki energy can flow without it, the symbol provides a source of energy. It is usually used in the beginning of the healing process. It can also be used in the middle or the concluding phase; in fact, whenever energy is required for accentuating the healing process. It is used specifically for healing within the physical body. Sei He Ki is the symbol of healing relationship problems. It represents mental and emotional healing. It is also used for protection, purification, clearing and balancing of energies. Reiki believes that, when one catches a disease, it is a representation of energy imbalances that has taken place in the emotional body (subconscious mind) and the mental body (unconscious mind). This symbol can be used for healing emotional or mental distress such as nervousness, fear, depression, anger, and sadness. It can be also used to enhance memory, as it connects with the subconscious mind, where memory is stored. Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the symbol used for transmitting energy across time and space. This can be used for transmitting energy into the past as well the future. Dai Ko Myo is the Matter Symbol. It is considered to be the Light of the Buddha or the Light of the Awakened Heart. It signifies expanded wisdom and an ability to see the future. It is used to heal the soul. Studying these symbols can open the doors of spiritual power and awakening. This is why Reiki and its symbols are growing in popularity, even today. Reiki provides detailed information on Reiki, Reiki Symbol, Healing Reiki, Master Reiki and more.
